The problem: CVE-2024-20399 is a command injection vulnerability in Cisco NX-OS Software that enables authorized local attackers to run arbitrary commands as root. Using these hardware components, attackers can defeat existing defenses such as Spectre v2 ( CVE-2017-5715 ) and leak sensitive data through speculative execution.
