Yesterday I posted what was pretty much an offhand question - Is RSS Dead ? A big part of editing that daily roundup is spent staring into my RSS reader, which culls about 100 or so feeds for me. All claimed RSS was over, and, for the most part, that Twitter killed it. Is the RSS-reading audience really out there?

Since I posted my call to action last week, nearly 600 folks have raised their hands and told me they’re reading this site via RSS. Not to mention, my RSS feed has grown by about 90% since the last time I posted the request, yet the number of comments (plus Tweets and other responses) was three times higher.
