We have different types of content in Preservica requiring different levels of controlled access. They were discoverable in our library catalog Ex Libris Primo but would potentially be behind a paywall depending on who the viewer was. Our library catalog is open access and is available online to see in action.

These records, often in the form of images with notes, are uploaded to websites set up by research centers, libraries, archives, and museums. In this post, we give some thoughts to the long-term access of the materials collected from these websites. After the sunsetting, the site is not accessible at its original web address.

The report includes data on each archive’s budget, collection size, staff recruitment and retention, as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, DEI efforts, and accessibility practices. The digitization of archives makes it possible to access them from anywhere in the world, increasing the reach and accessibility of archival collections.
