In Praise of the Invisible DB2 for z/OS System

I was with IBM when DB2 was introduced to the market. I believe that the value of IT systems (and the value of the data housed in those systems) is largely dependent on the value of the applications that use those systems (and access that data). As far as I'm concerned, this is as it should be. Who wouldn't want that?
