Virtual Partner Meeting on September 29

Want to know more about web archiving trends, tools, and services? This year’s Archive-It partner meeting will be held entirely at your computer screen on Wednesday, September 29, from 9 AM to 2:00 PM Pacific. Registration is now full, but you can enter our registration waitlist. This year’s program will include virtual speaker panels with interactive Q&A segments and curated discussion groups.

Web Archives Researcher Skills & Tools Survey

WARST researchers in the UK would like to identify and document skills and knowledge required to achieve a range of different research goals within web archiving and for the use of the archived web for research. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete here.

Archive-It 7.1 Release

Archive-It upgraded its web archiving software suite to version 7.1 this month. This release includes improvements to web crawling and reporting, account management, and significant upgrades to archival replay. Read the announcement for more details. Web Archiving for Beginners training

The Digital Preservation Coalition will host a 4-hour online training covering the main concepts and technologies involved with web archiving on October 5 and 6, 6 a.m.-10 a.m., PDT/9 a.m.- 1 p.m., EDT. Interested? Register here.
