Join us online!
The Archive-It Virtual Partner Meeting returns on November 2, 2022! Partners and peers will meet online via Zoom web conference from 9AM to 1PM Pacific time. Attendance is free, but space is limited, so reserve your digital seat here early.
We invite proposals from all Archive-It partners. We encourage proposals from BIPOC presenters, first-time presenters, and representatives of organizations of all sizes and types. Submit your proposal here by Friday, September 30.
The Virtual Partner Meeting is a companion and compliment to Archive-It’s annual in-person meeting, which convened in August for the first time since 2019. Catch up with our conversations here to learn about the latest developments and plans for the next year.

Introducing the COVID-19 web archive
We are excited to present the COVID-19 Web Archive access portal, which brings together hundreds of Archive-It collections, documenting the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on communities, businesses, healthcare, and other aspects of everyday life. Saving political websites for local history

Tech and Training
New access controls for seed groups names
Archive-It partners may now decide when the names of their Seed Groups appear publicly. Previously public by default, these names may now be suppressed from appearing on archive-it.org and used for internal organization and workflows. Read the announcement for more details on this new feature.
Updated guidelines for web archivability
Stanford University’s indispensable guide to developing websites for archivability has moved to lead author Nicholas Taylor’s website here. Updated to account for the latest technical advancements, this guide is a helpful reference to web developers who want to build for the long term, and to new practitioners who want to learn the key goals and challenges to web archiving.
Meet the new Archives Unleashed cohort
Five new research teams with participants around the world will pilot the Internet Archive’s ARCH platform, a collaboration with the Archives Unleashed project to build the tools that support data analysis at web archive scale. Get to know the teams and their projects here.
