GDPR and IAM

In an article published this year by Steven Levy, “Inside Amazon’s Artificial Intelligence Flywheel”, we learned how Amazon took a “leap of faith” in using advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for every part of their business and to create new products like Alexa. Many organizations recognize the need for AI and ML to make their business more efficient and competitive in this new world of cognitive technologies.

Corporate investments in AI and ML are growing significantly. Recently, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, testified about Facebook’s responsibility regarding the content on its platform. This story sparked many discussions about our connected world and the responsibility of organizations in regards to content. He testified that Facebook has 10,000 content reviewers looking for unlawful or inappropriate content. The company must rely on its users (the community) to report content issues as it’s not currently feasible to proactively assess each piece of content. He declared that Facebook must invest in AI.

Since the launch of OpenText™ Magellan™ in 2017, our customers have expressed interest in taking that “leap of faith” in AI and ML. Our Magellan SWAT Team has had the pleasure of participating in hundreds of conversations.  These conversations have primarily centered on four key areas of AI:

  • Digital maturity
  • Data ecosystems
  • Tools and techniques
  • Use cases, sources of value

In order to help organizations in the changing digital and AI world, OpenText has created two workshops; Business AI Workshop and Cognitive Strategy Workshop, which share our expertise in the field of AI and ML. In addition, we are excited to have launched a program called Idea to Insight in 30 days.
