2022 CIGO Assn Announces IG Best Practice Awards

CIGO Association is pleased to announce that submissions are invited for the 2022 1st Annual CIGO IG Best Practice Awards.

Submission Deadline is Monday, February 28, 2022. Only one nomination per organization. More information is here.

Submissions must be made in PowerPoint, no more than 10 slides. An additional1-page written summary is optional and recommended.

Finalists will be notified by March 20, 2022. The winner will be announced on March 25 2022 at the CIGO IG Leadership Summit in San Diego. The winner will be invited to present their case study at the Summit. One person from the winner organization will receive 2-nights hotel stay at the Westin San Diego Downtown and economy airfare up to $750 USD from their hometown to San Diego.

The award is given to IG Teams in a customer organization, corporation or government agency in recognition of an outstanding IG program, or successful core project within an IG program completed within the past year. .

Submissions will be judged on their response to the following:

  • Business objectives(s) and business need(s) being addressed
  • Program metrics and business value provided
  • Communications, training, and marketing approaches
  • Scope and depth of the IG Program as well as program longevity
  • IG defined roles and responsibilities
  • New/updated policies, procedures and processes established

Submission Requirements

Nominee Information:

Provide the full corporate name, address, telephone, email and Web address for the organization being nominated for the Best Practice Award entry. Make sure to include the Individual(s) at the nominee organization who is to be contacted regarding the nomination and/or submission (include name, title, telephone, e-mail). This should be the person who will respond to questions and be interviewed by the judges if chosen as a finalist. Please provide an alternate contact.

Please provide a statement that acknowledges your acceptance of the Submission Conditions as outlined above.

The Certified Information Officers Association (CIGOA) provides training and certification in Information Governance (IG), and is a vendor-neutral association comprised of IG professionals dedicated to advancing the discipline of IG.

You do not need to be a member of the CIGO Association to submit an entry.
