Unleash the Power of Cybersecurity Education with KnowBe4’s 'Hack-A-Cat' on Roblox

What do cheese, fish and cybersecurity training have in common?

Each of these comes together to help keep kids informed about cyber threats and cybersecurity best practices with KnowBe4’s first ever entry into the Roblox gaming platform: Hack-A-Cat!

KnowBe4 is proud to provide this game free of cost to all users of the Roblox platform as part of our commitment to cybersecurity and encouraging young people of all backgrounds to think about careers in cybersecurity

What is Roblox?

With an estimated 65 million daily users, Roblox is one of the most popular gaming platforms today. Millions of kids and young adults spend hours exploring more than 40 million user-generated games and interacting with each other.

Roblox has proven to be a fantastic environment to engage kids and young learners. Signing up for an account is free.

What is "Hack-A-Cat"?

In "Hack-A-Cat," players take on the role of either a Cat or Mouse and engage in a high-stakes showdown. Up to four players at a time (two Cats, two Mice) compete head -to-head to collect tokens and reach their goals; all while keeping an eye on what the other team is up to!

The Cats have a critical mission: they must ship all their precious tuna before the timer runs out. However, the Mice are determined to sabotage their efforts using sneaky tactics real hackers use!

No matter the role players choose, the game teaches cybersecurity skills vital to anyone interested in a career in cyber or just protecting themselves and their family.

How to Play

Cats:

  • Load crates onto the conveyor belt
  • Remove unwanted items from the conveyor belt
  • Approve legitimate emails and report bad ones
  • Deliver marked crates to the correct trucks to ship tuna
  • Use tools to protect your teammates and sabotage the mice

Mice:

  • Load cheese into the cheese vat or cheese block ray
  • Launch cheese attacks to sabotage the cats
  • Use tools to hack the cats and stop them from delivering tuna
