Using information

We often think of “using information” in terms of how we derive value from our use of our own information.  That information has value elsewhere, too.

“SEC Examines Guggenheim-Related Bond Trades,” The Wall Street Journal, February 27, 2019.  SEC investigates cross-selling of bonds.

What is information used for?  One of the biggies is use by the government of “your” information to determine if you committed a crime or violated a regulation.  Is that also Governance?  And maybe a touch of Compliance?
