Friday, 7 September 2007 Bromberg & Sunstein LLP Wiki Case Study I discovered this quite by chance , but its actually a good case study on a law firm turning to wiki technology (in this case its Confluence again! ) When I read the case study I sense that this isnt so much about the success of social software, but more the about the success of the software product itself AND the evolution towards read/write intranets.

The Unobserved Need

Positively RIM

Last week I traveled to rural Indiana to research a case study of a mid-size manufacturing firm. While the subject is interesting in its own right, it is symbolic of a huge, unobserved need. In the U.S. alone, there are close to 100,000 small to mid-size businesses. Different numbers define this SMB group, but I see it as organizations with between 100 and 1,000 staffers.

Intranets and social computing - first mover disadvantage?

ChiefTech

Outside of the top tier accounting firms (who have always understood they are involved in knowledge work), I’ve yet to find any large organisations with such a cohesive or advanced intranet, so I like to track public case studies and articles about Ernst & Young ’s intranet and knowledge management program to see how it is progressing since I left in 2004. Another former employer, CSC , is a large organisation and presents another interesting case study from this point of view.
