With less than one year to go before the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) comes into force, the Centre for Information Policy Leadership (“CIPL”) at Hunton & Williams and AvePoint have launched the second annual GDPR Organizational Readiness Survey. Last year, over 220 predominantly multinational organizations participated in the study which focused on key areas of impact and change under the GDPR such as consent, legitimate interest, data portability, profiling, DPIAs, DPOs, data transfers and privacy management programs. This year’s study revisits these important areas of impact and further considers additional topics.

Your organization’s participation in the study will help you to:

  • assess your current state of readiness for the GDPR;
  • benchmark your GDPR readiness in relation to industry peers;
  • gain insight into key changes and compliance obligations under the GDPR; and
  • determine next steps and requirements for your organization’s GDPR preparation plan.

The results, which will be kept anonymous, will be analyzed and used to publish an extensive overview on GDPR readiness, the CIPL & AvePoint Second Annual GDPR Benchmark Report. The report will provide your organization with insight into industry-wide GDPR preparedness levels, GDPR best practices as identified among participants and guidance for those looking to implement changes to their company-wide privacy management programs in anticipation of the GDPR. The report is expected for release in late fall of 2017.

Take the survey by August 31, 2017.*

*We ask that one representative from your organization complete the survey, and encourage you to work with the appropriate individuals in your organization to fill out the survey.
