Digital Transformation: The Song Remains the Same

AIIM Conference  |  Digital Transformation

Leading brands don’t change their brand story. They perfect by telling it over and over again.

What’s AIIM’s story? We believe that information is an asset. Information provides value to organizations. We want to change the perception of what managing it looks like. Ultimately, it’s about moving records and information management from a perceived cost of doing business, to a key competitive differentiator and driver of your digital transformation.

At the heart of this transformation is a drive to understand and anticipate our customers and provide them with the best experience we can.

True digital transformation leaders make it easy to do business with them.

But, don’t just take my word for it. I don’t think anyone tells this story better than AIIM’s President and CEO, Peggy Winton:

The Story is More Important Now, Then Ever Before

That video is from The AIIM Conference 2020. I can remember being in Dallas, sitting in that keynote room, and listening to this live.

In fact, the 2020 conference stands out to me in a big way. If you listen closely at the start of the video, Peggy mentions concerns about the virus. The timing of last year’s event was just days before the official social distancing recommendations came as a result of COVID-19. Nobody had any idea of what was to come next. I remember the feeling at the conference was pure community. Maybe all of us had a feeling in the back of our heads about the impact of the virus, or maybe it was something else - but people bonded and came together in a very special way.

Then - seemingly overnight - the world became socially distant and the old way of doing business was flipped on its head. Business went virtual. Some businesses were prepared for the transition, others were not.

As we prepare for a new year and a new conference (now virtual) - I'm noticing that,

Some of the challenges remain the same:

  • How do I get executive buy-in for projects?
  • How do I protect and govern information?
  • How do I optimize Microsoft365 and SharePoint?
  • How do I automate compliance?

And some new ones have sprung up:

  • How are other organizations responding to the information management challenges of today?
  • What data trends will impact the future?
  • What are the best information management strategies for remote working?

But, as always – your friends at AIIM are here for you. This year, we’re looking at the challenge of moving our in-person conference to a virtual platform as an OPPORTUNITY.

We're embracing the benefits of this new format to give you a conference that is light years ahead of its time.

Why are we calling it a "Galactic Digital Experience" you ask?

Because this year, the sky's no longer the limit!
