Partners meet in Austin and Cambridge

Archive-It partners gathered this month to share web archiving ideas, projects, and technology — at the annual meeting of the Society of American Archivists in Austin, TX, and at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. ARA Conference 2019: August 29 in Leeds, UK. Panel discussion with web archivists and recordkeepers from the National Library of Ireland and National Records of Scotland.

Internet Archive Web Services Partner Meeting: September 20 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Meet-up with Internet Archive staff, web services partners, and peers at iPres 2019.

DLF Forum & NDSA Digital Preservation 2019: October 14-17 in Tampa, FL. Meet us at the annual meeting of the Digital Library Federation and the National Digital Stewardship Alliance.

Continuing Education to Advance Web Archiving (CEDWARC): October 28 at George Washington University. First in a series of workshops with web archive data for research and analysis. Travel grants for attendees are available through August 30!

Web Archiving Texas: November 6 at Baylor University. A gathering of web archivist in the Lone Star State with a complementary program of introductory webinars.

New self-paced course for public libraries

The Community Webs partners at WebJunction released their new, 2-hour online training program for public librarians. For an introduction to web archiving concepts, tools, and opportunities, check out: Web Archiving for Public Libraries.

The Archive-It Advanced Training webinar series returns with “Teaching Archive-It” on Tuesday, November 20. Register here to join us and learn about the materials and routunes that Archive-It partners use to train new web archivists.
