The Internet Archive Turns 25

The Internet Archive is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week! Join founder and Digital Librarian, Brewster Kahle, on Thursday, October 21 at 6PM Pacific for a virtual celebration featuring talks from author Cory Doctorow, national speech champion Anneteke Adoga, and a performance from San Francisco Symphony’s Principal Trumpet, Mark Inouye. ICYMI: Web Archiving for Beginners training

Earlier this month, the Digital Preservation Coalition hosted a 4-hour online training covering the main concepts and technologies involved with web archiving. If you’re a member, you can catch up anytime with recordings on their past events page here.

Archive-It 7.1 Release

Archive-It upgraded its web archiving software suite to version 7.1 last month, including improvements to web crawling and reporting, account management, and significant upgrades to archival replay.
