Upcoming events in Melbourne: Connected Enterprise 2012 and From Liking to Leading

You might have noticed that I've been presenting a fair bit these recent weeks about enterprise social software - I'm been completing a short roadshow with Dimension Data (we are in Brisbane this Friday) and last week I had a lot of fun presenting along side Mark Oehlert at Socialtext's Enterprise Social Summit.

I'm really pleased that in a few weeks time I'm going to be back in Melbourne again, participating in the following events:

Connected Enterprise 2012 - 21-22 Nov

I don't think I've really seen an event like this in Australia before, which has a fantastic line of up local and overseas presenters, and also vendors (e.g. IBM, Jive, Newsgator and Yammer are sponsors). The local line up of presenters includes Coca Cola Amatil, Australian Catholic University, BASF Group, Minter Ellison, News Limited, Visy Industries, and Rabobank.

I'm participating in a panel on collaboration readiness and presenting on how to gain business value from social media & collaboration tools.

From Liking to Leading - IBM's Business Leader Breakfast Series - 20 Nov

I'm joining an expert panel that includes IBM and McKinsey & Co to discuss how social technologies are dramatically changing the way people interact, collaborate, engage and get work done.

This breakfast is also being hosted in Sydney, Perth and Auckland (I'll be on the panel in Sydney too).

I am also trying to arrange another event while I'm Melbourne that week, so stay tuned for details - the plan is for something a bit more workshop style with some hands on design activities, based on a request I had from someone a few months ago!
